New Song Shout-Out! Yo Ho!

For those of you that are fans of the dance/techno/electro/screamo/crunk band "Blood on the dance floor" check out this song! --

It's a fairly recent one, kinda.

It's a funny pop/hiphop song called "Yo Ho," I believe. Something about the life of a pirate. I kinda like it. it's catchy, and very.....um, odd? i guess.

EV Is Back!

On October 19th, Electric Valentine released a new single called; "Everyone You Know Is On Drugs." It is a great up-beat fun dance song. They haven't changed their genre but the sound is definitely an improvement towards them. Props go to Chris Qualls and Lauren, after being robbed in the past, losing 1000s of dollars with their gear. Luckily, they're back and good luck to them! ;)

Mike Posner Shout Out!

If anyone out there are fans of 3OH!3, Justin Timberlake, OneRepublic, Ke$ha, Robin Thicke, Travie McCoy, Taio Cruz, Bruno Mars, Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, and...or...uh...I guess, even Justin Beiber, then check out Mike Posner! He is a Pop/Dance/Electronica/Funk/Hip-Hop/Alternative/Experimental artist, and is known for his smash hit "Cooler Than Me." He is currently working on the music video and has more singles on the way. His album comes out in August I believe. He's going to have a very successful future! Okay everyone, check him out!

The Moment We've All Been Waiting For!!!

Streets Of Gold is finally out, and it sounds fabulous! I'm going to go through a track-by-track review.

1.) Beaumont 2.5/5 -- The intro off of Streets Of Gold. Just like Tapp from WANT. A minute long of strong beats and sturdy instrumentals. About a minute long. "3OH!3" is repeated in little bits numerous times while a scratchy synth and Electronic melodies play. Good intro. Sounds kinda familiar -- cuz it was used in their 2 minute weekly streets of gold Webisodes. Good way to start off the album

2.) I Can Do Anything 5/5 -- A great, strong, fun, explicit track to begin the streets of gold march. While the whole album is going mainstream pop/dance/electronica this track has a little hip-hop/crunk vibe. The 'gangsta' verses lead into the proud and victorious chorus melody. Great track! One of my favorites. Might hit the radios in the future.

3.) My First Kiss 5/5 -- Another popular and strong track. Ke$ha is featured a bit throughout it. This track is already on the radio. It was created last year to the public around march. And now, since the studio version has been released, it's a great hit! Has a unique pop vibe throughout. This will be a certain track to remember. A very good song!

4.) Deja Vu 3.5/5 -- When this was first released I LOVED it! The verses were great small dance intros which lead to the catchy "dance-to" chorus. If you listen to it, and then listen to Tik Tok by Ke$ha, I think you will see the resemblance. The bridge part right after the 2nd chorus keeps the song flowing and then brings it to an electronic close. Well Done!

5.) We Are Young 4/5 -- A good track which shows off their electronica side. The verses are steady and the chorus slowly "Jumps Out of the hat" thanks to a drum pause. Enforces a good meaning. Very good and has a tricky kick to it. Nice!

6.) Touchin On My 3/5 -- Great track when it first came out as a single. If there were actually swears where the beeps were, then this track can definitely sound and relate to their older stuff. Still a popular track. Good Job!

7.) House Party 2/5 -- An okay song. I was much more happy with it when they leaked it in the past. A little different. It's their weakest song off the album. Chorus is dry, verses sound not complete. Still a nice track to listen too. It's more of a filler song, just to fill up the album. I wish they could of replaced this track with Hit It Again. The best part of the song though is when a guitar actually comes in for once and plays and strums some riffs to make the chorus stronger. Not Bad!

8.) R.I.P. 3.75/5 -- A more calm and slower song. Has some very entertaining lyrics if you listen to them. It's actually a very unique track and I think it's a great addition to Streets Of Gold! Awesome song!

9.) I Know How To Say 3/5 -- Telling by the instrumental rhythms in the chorus, you can tell that this sounds really similar to an older different song by some other artist. A little different. Sill, A mainstream "Cheerleader" Pop song. Not their strongest. But not their worst. Good job!

10.) Double Vision 3/5 -- Not that popular and not really cared about. I personally like it alot though! A nice fun little summer song. Has that summery pop style. Good funky guitars are used during the verses. Nice one!

11.) I'm Not The One 4/5 -- A beautiful fun nice slower song. Definitely the song with the most meaning behind the lyrics. They did a great job here. Even though they're going mainstream, it's still a great song give or take. A little on the longer side, because most of their songs are between 3:00-3:20. Great work! I hope the rest of the fans will enjoy as much as I do!

12.) Streets Of Gold 3.75/5 -- A good song to enforce "Streets Of Gold." Has a great chorus and brings this album to another good mainstream point. Still on the pop side. Good job. Not my favorite track though. :)

13.) See You Go 3/5 -- A wicked short fun straight up catchy electro song. This brings back the great old 3OH!3. Very fun and a great way to bring the album to a close. Great job!

14.) Love 2010 2.5/5 -- Kind of a song on a different side. Odd, but can still be enjoyable. A slow electronic sound starts after each verse. Brings this album to a slow and curious goodbye. Okay job!

15.) Innerpartysystem remixed My First Kiss and made it much more electronic and longer. Obviously not a fan favorite. They should really make an actual song together.

16.) One of the Duo's newest friends, Andrew W.K. -- He remixed House Party To A More Suttle Rock version. It's faster and much better than the original in my opinion. Of course, for those of you that know Andrew W.K. real well, he puts a "harmless" Carnival-like merry-go-round part at the bridge. niiiiiice! ;)

All in all, streets of gold is a great album. I'm pretty sure they found their style. It's more mainstream pop with dance and electroncia. Back in WANT it was electronic/alternative with lots of hardcore rap/crunk stuff. Annnnnnd, in 2007, their first release: "3OH!3 self titled EP" It's just plain old modern Electronic music. With of course, a little bit of 3OH!3-ing it up to make it unique. The fans seem to still like their older rap/electronic stuff from WANT, rather than them going mainstream harmless pop music. People are considering them the Boy versions of Ke$ha. [Whatever, 3OH!3 got Ke$ha famous!] I could care less about what genre or whatever 3OH!3 is. If it has a good beat, then I like it! I'll always classify them as Electronica though. ;)

Wow...I Guess Miley Cyrus CAN'T Be Tamed.

Disney Star / Actress / Pop Singer Miley Cyrus has released yet, another single! Accept...this one is going in a different direction. It is called "Can't Be Tamed" And has a unique twist, which is different than her other music. This style is more Dance-like and Glam Pop. Sort of like...[*SIGH*]...Lady Gaga, and also like Christina Aguliera right now. Also, the song meaning and lyrics are a little more...fierce and explicit per say. She's talking about being wild and doing weird things and saying no one can stop her, she can't be tamed. Also, In the past she has never had any songs [or music videos] that have an "inappropriate style" to them. In this song, she acts like a total S••• [You fill in the blank] and says some un-needable words n' stuff. Also, the video is much more mature and very dirty in several ways. She has to realize that many YOUNG fans look up to her. If I had a 17year old daughter, I would NOT want her to do what Miley does in the video. Also, I'm sure all you Moms out there wouldn't want your young kids to watch that nonsense. Anyways, I'm not trying to Trash her, or insult her, I'm just ranting about a recent topic and hey, I gotta update my blog by typing SOMETHING! Haha, okay guys, hope you enjoyed my rant. OMG! I Can't Believe This Happened To Them! <:(

Believe it or not, but according To Electric Valentine's Myspace, they have unfortunately been robbed! That's right. Someone broke in to the studio and stole $3500 worth of equipment. This totally sucks! They aren't trying to sound to demanding or greedy, but they are asking for donations...-- Even a dollar. ...And, luckily, it seems that the fans have been trying to help out too! I really hope everything gets better them. They lost A LOT of things, including all their recently saved beats and data on their music. So, that means all their new music and beats are gone. They have to gather some more equipment, and remake all their music. Read more on their Myspace for excess info. Now...if any of you guys wanna help them, but don't want to send them actual money thru the mail to them, then you can go on itunes and buy their songs. They make money from people purchasing their music from itunes. Just keep that in mind. I guess it's kinda like a 'Win-Win-Situation.' You get your songs and they get their money. NEW BOTDF SINGLE

For fans of Blood On The Dance Floor, they released, yet another sexual single. "Candyland" is their latest song and it seems there isn't any screamo in it. It's pretty much happy up-beat dance music, using metaphoric lyrics resembling Candyland, as a sexual paradise. Anyways, BOTDF album EPIC is expected to release near the fall/winter of 2010.

ALL MY DREAMS CAME TRUE!!!

Well, as you know, American Idol season 9 is now down to its' top 11. And...Last Wednesday, Ke$ha was going to perform on the result show. Everything thought is was gonna be Tik Tok, but in my heart, I hoped she would do Blah Blah Blah and maybe JUST MAYBE, if I'm lucky, 3OH!3 would make an appearance and sing it too! Well...that's exactly what happened! 3OH!3 appeared on the stage right at their part and sang it! I was SO excited. Now...i must admit I'm a pretty normal, tough kinda guy, but when it comes down to music, and I see 3OH!3 live on TV, then...well...um...let's just say I felt like one of those 12 year old screaming fan girls when they see their favorite boy band play. Man...I sure love 3OH!3 !
And Ke$ha was amazing too! Ya know, I'm not really a fan of girl signers/female bands/artist, but Ke$ha is definitely my favorite female artist! All in all, that night was great, and if you wanna see the performance, then go to Youtube. There are some good videos. Alright, thanks everyone!

Cascada's Dance hit: "Everytime We Touch" Has been covered back Cash Cash! It's awesome...and a little different from their normal style. It's more electroRockish, with dancey beats, and there's even a sick rap verse. Personally, i like this style for them alot. It's more on the dance side! BREAK OUT YOU GUYS!!!

Great Band...But They Could've Worked On The Name...

Well, There is this sick Electronica/Alternative/Pop/Rock/Dance band called "Breathe Electric." That's right. They are a great band if you're into; Breathe Carolina, Kill Paradise, LIGHTS, Owl City, Watchout! Theres Ghosts, Electric Valentine, The Secret Handshake, Blood On The Dance Floor, J Bigga, Ke$ha, Brokencyde, Lady Gaga, Boy Talks Trash, The Greenlight District, Jeffree Star, Family Force 5, 3OH!3, etc... Anyways, Their top songs are: Electronic Lover, Let Go, The Average, Emotion, & Honestly. My favorite is "The Average." I just love how it starts out. Anyways, the band is great. But, however, in my opinion, there is one downside. The band name itself: "Breathe Electric." Seems like they took part of "'Breathe' Carolina", and part of "'Electric' Valentine." Hmmm...It's kinda weird because they do sound similar to them. IDK, I don't wanna sound to uptight about it. ;)

Just decided to give some info on 3OH!3. I'm going to review their first "Self-Titled" Album 3oh!3.

Well, 3OH!3 was formed in 2004. Their first album was released in 2006. Then, they re-released it in 2007 to sort-of "Make some adjustments." Anyways, their is 9 tracks on it, [used to be 11. But they took off Chokechain & Holler Til U Pass Out and remastered them so they were better and put them on "WANT."] and their genre never really changed throughout their careers. Their first album is mainly Hip-Hop, Rap, ElectroPop, CrunkCore, A Little ElectroRock, Alternative Rap, & Thrash. And, of course, their sophmore album "WANT" has a genre of; Alternative, Alternative Rap, CrunkCore, Electronica, ElectroRock, Hip-Hop, Rap, Pop, & Thrash. Anyways, they are similar to; Innerpartysystem, Metro Station, Cobra Starship, The GreenLight District, Breathe Carolina, Watchout! Theres Ghosts, Jeffree Star, Hollywood Undead, Brokencyde, Cash Cash, J Bigga, DotDotCurve:), Blood On The Dance Floor, The Chain Gang Of 1974, Black Eyed Peas, Electric Valentine, Family Force 5, HelloGoodbye, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, The Medic Droid, The Metroid, Owl City, The Secret Handshake, Shiny Toy Guns, & Katy Perry.

Okay, below is my review of "3oh!3 self titled ep 06/07"

1.) Electroshock -- Great! One of my favorite songs off the album. An easy 3 minutes long. great beats. up-beat electrorock/electropop. Very good song! 5/5

2.) NeatFreak47 -- Not Bad. Short song. Little over 2min. Electro/Hiphop/Pop/Crunk song. Nice little beat. The intro/start isn't that good. Songs okay I guess. Most deffinately not the best song. Not that popular either 2/5

3.) Dance With Me -- Great song! Parody of "I Love Rock N' Roll." Same chorus but on the verses, they "3OH!3ed it up. -- Which made it rock even better! One of the best songs, and one of my favs off the album. Alternative Rap/ElectroRock 5/5

4.) Don't Dance -- Really good song! The most popular/best song off the album and once again one of my personal favs off the album. Those top 3 [electroshock,dancew/me,&dontdance] are my favs. good beats. intro is great. love the chorus. Electronic/Alternative with some Thrash. 4.5/5

5.) Say'dem Up -- Good CrunkCore/Hiphop/Rap song. upbeat. pretty tight. VERY explicit. Most explicit off the album. meaningless fun lyrics. (Bad influence though.) Pretty good. 3/5

6.) Dragon Backpack -- Really short. Okay song. pretty simple. Repeats twice, good beats. Electropop/Hiphop. A little on the slower side. Nothin' great to it. (Haha, although my lil' Bro LOVES this song by them though! ;)) 2.5/5

7.) Hott -- Starts out fast, then becomes slow, then goes upbeat again. Its' length is 3:03 (<---Hahaha, whatta' special song.) just a simple upbeat electropop song with some thrash. 3/5

8.) I'm Not Coming To Ur Party Girl -- good song. upbeat. fun. short. electropop/thrash. I guess even maybe a lil HipHop. 3/5

9.) Hornz -- Really good song. They named it hornz because of the horns playing throughout the song. i like it. the intro rocks! great beats! hiphop/thrash/electronica/pop/crunk. good closer. 3.5/5
